My art utilizes modern abstract impressionism and realism to express connections to human emotions. I enjoy conveying my feelings to the viewer using color, varied techniques, texture, and dimension. I enjoy the immersive experience of working on large pieces, which gives freedom to engage with my practice. I have been fortunate to have many opportunities to display my work publicly. I participated in large community art events like Rain Play Eugene, Open Air Studios through Lane Arts Council, First Friday Artwalk in Eugene, Second Friday Art Walk in Springfield, and the Mayor’s Teen Art show. I have shown work at dozens of group shows with fellow students at Wheelhaus Art Studio, and had my first solo show in 2019. My art has been influenced greatly by my instructor and mentor David Placencia. I hope my artwork inspires my peers to view abstracts from a greater perspective.
